【摘要】:Fitness-For-Service(FFS)assessmentsarequantitativeengineeringevaluationsthatareperformedtodemonstratethestructuralintegrityofanin-servicecomponentthatmaycontainaflawordamage.ThisStandardprovidesguidanceforconductingFFSassessmentsusingmethodologiesspecificallypreparedforpressurizedequipment.TheguidelinesprovidedinthisStandardcanbeusedtomakerun-repair-replacedecisionstohelpdetermineifpressurizedequipmentcontainingflawsthathavebeenidentifiedbyinspectioncancontinuetooperatesafelyforsomeperiodoftime.TheseFFSassessmentsarecurrentlyrecognizedandreferencedbytheAPICodesandStandards(510,570,&653),andbyNB-23assuitablemeansforevaluatingthestructuralintegrityofpressurevessels,pipingsystemsandstoragetankswhereinspectionhasrevealeddegradationandflawsintheequipment.
