【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversthematerial,testingandapplicationrequirementsforafieldmoldedasphalticplugjoint(APJ)usedinexpansionjointsealingonasphaltconcreteoverlayandportlandcementconcretedecks.ThescopeofthisspecificationislimitedtofieldmoldedAPJ.Thismoldedelementcanconsistofmultilayer,orsinglelayer,orboth,applicationsystemsdependinguponindividualmanufacturingrequirements.ThedetailsofthisspecificationarelimitedtothematerialsusedintheapplicationofAPJ.Itisrecommendedthatapracticalmeansoftestingthewatertightnessaspectsoftheindividualsystems,eitherinthefieldoratthetestinglaboratory,bedeveloped.Whenusedonhighwaybridges,limitsonmaximumjointmovementsshallbespecificallyidentifiedforeachtypeofAPJ.APJsshouldnotbeusedformovementapplicationsexceedingx00B1;25mmfromtheinstallationwidth.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
