【摘要】:Determinationofthecolorofpetroleumproductsisusedmainlyformanufacturingcontrolpurposesandisanimportantqualitycharacteristicbecausecolorisreadilyobservedbytheuseroftheproduct.Insomecasesthecolormayserveasanindicationofthedegreeofrefinementofthematerial.Whenthecolorrangeofaparticularproductisknown,avariationoutsidetheestablishedrangemayindicatepossiblecontaminationwithanotherproduct.However,colorisnotalwaysareliableguidetoproductqualityandshouldnotbeusedindiscriminatelyinproductspecifications.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheautomaticdeterminationofcolorofawidevarietyofpetroleumproductssuchasundyedmotorandaviationgasoline,aviationturbinefuels,naphthas,kerosine,pharmaceuticalwhiteoils,dieselfueloils,heatingoils,andlubricatingoilsbytheautomatictristimulusmethod.ThistestmethodcorrelatestoTestMethodD156andTestMethodD1500ascalculatedbytheinstrumentation.Note18212;Withtheappropriatesamplehandling,thistestmethodwouldapplytopetroleumwaxes,buttheywerenotusedintheroundrobin,andtheprecisionofthistestmethodwithregardtowaxesisunknown.1.2ThistestmethodreportsresultsintermsofTestMethodD156orTestMethodD1500.1.3Thistestmethodhasaone-to-onecorrelationfortheentirerangeofTestMethodD1500ASTMColorandfortherangefrom0to+30forTestMethodD156Sayboltcolor.1.4Thistestmethoddoesnotapplytosolidsamples,petroleumproductscontainingdye,andpetroleumproductshavingextremefluorescence.1.5Thistestmethoddoesnotapplytocloudysamples.Suchsamplesshallbefilteredsotheyareclearbeforemeasuring.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
