【摘要】:1.1Thisdocumentrepresentsresearchmethodologyandthetablesrepresentcharteddatafromsubjects.Someterminologyisspecifictotheresearch.Thedatarepresentthefirstbodymeasurementsevertakenofwomenaged55andolderandisnotastandardofaveragecurrentapparelindustrypracticesasrepresentedinallothersizingstandards.1.2Thesetableslistbodymeasurementsofadultwomenage55andover.Thebodymeasurementstablescanbeusedasabaselineindesigningapparelforadultwomeninthisagegroup,takingintoaccountsuchfactorsasfabrictype,desiredeaseofbodymovement,styling,andfit.1.3MeasurementtablescorrespondtothefiguretypesandnumericalsizedesignationsinthePS42-70database.Untilbodymeasurementsofalladultwomenareupdated,companieswillhavetoanalyzetheoldercustomer''sdifferencesbybodymeasurementsandproportionsinsteadofhangtagnumbers,andadaptthemtocurrentlymarketedsizesandfiguretypes.Companiesespeciallyaffectedarethosewhoaretodayusingsmallernumberedhangtagdesignations,whooffermainlyS,M,andLsizes,orwhohaveadjustedtheirchartsfromthePS42-70databasetoreflectthespecificbodymeasurementsoftheir1990''scustomer.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitheracceptableSIunitsorinch-poundunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvalues.
